It could be the beginning of the end for the use of RFID tags in Colorado’s cannabis industry — and the company that makes millions selling them (and other fees) through its contract as the state’s “primary inventory tracking system of record.”
That company, of course, is Florida-based Metrc, which enjoys a near monopoly across the nation as more states implement regulated cannabis programs, often following the “Colorado playbook.”
